Dancing Since 1971

‘dance at Brijets’ was created for my daughters that began dancing in 1971 in Edmonton, Alberta. When the studio closed in Edmonton, I started searching for studio space in Fort Saskatchewan. I started the Fort Society of Dance, which was a not for profit organization. I was President of the society for 8 years before opening my own business ‘dance at Brijets’ named after my youngest daughter. Our studio was created in order to give dancers in Fort Saskatchewan their own dance space and to help my daughters to pursue their love of dance.

The studio began like my own dance experience, in a little union hall downtown in the Fort. We used the backs of chairs for barres until we relocated to our own space. Our welcoming studio with high roomy ceilings and two classrooms is now home to hundreds of dancers and parents & twelve experienced teachers.
